Decree 1478: (Jansen, Bernard Ambt Doetinchem) and Stapel, Jan Hendrik, aged 50 ,merchant, born and lately living in Gent, were declared recalcitrant against the law by the Guelders provincial court on 3 December last. The attorney general at the foregoing court demands detection, arrest, forwarding and reporting.
(Their younger brother Jan Hendrik was 30 in 1874. Was the age of 50 perhaps a misread 30?)

In the night of 16 on 17 Sept. last, from a closed meadow called "the Krul or The Pool", under the municipality Medemblik, to the detriment of farmer C. Stapel, in Opperdoes: (abstracted) 4 lambs, marked with a little hack in the front of the left ear, a dot of black-blueish paint on the backcenter and a similar dot on the left hind leg.
